Student Leadership Opportunity

NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS AND APPLICATIONS

The Moore Post and Unit 184 American Legion Boys State and Girls State Committees are seeking qualified high school students to attend the 2026 Summer Leadership Sessions. Committee members will conduct interviews and assist students with completing their applications beginning February 15, 2026.

WHO CAN APPLY

High school students who have completed their junior year are eligible to apply for this tuition-paid leadership scholarship program.

WHAT IS BOYS & GIRLS STATE?

Boys State and Girls State are premier youth leadership programs designed to teach students about government, civic responsibility, and leadership through hands-on participation in a mock state government.

Students gain valuable experience in:

• Leadership and teamwork

• Public speaking

• Civic engagement

• Government and public service
